Medium-viscosity, black adhesive for extremely demanding bonds: for elastic applications, for dynamic loads, for material combinations with different expansion coefficients.
2construct Flex B 590 MV black was specially developed for bonding plastics, elastomers, metals and their combinations. The adhesive is characterised by high peel and impact resistance and offers permanent strength even under dynamic loads, heat and moisture. The adhesive is particularly suitable for bonding materials with different expansion coefficients and parts that are subject to bending, while maintaining elasticity. The adhesive remains reliable even in humid and changing environments and in extreme temperature fluctuations (-50 to +105°C).
APPLICATION:
The parts to be bonded must be clean and free of oil and grease. Apply the adhesive to one side of the parts to be bonded, align the parts and then press them together. The adhesive hardens within seconds. Maximum strength is achieved after 24 hours. The curing of the adhesive can be accelerated with 2construct activator sprays for all materials and ambient conditions. Do not use the adhesive at an ambient temperature below 5° C!
Please note that polar plastics such as PE, PP, PTFE or silicone must be pre-treated with a primer before bonding.
Cyanoacrylate adhesives cure through moisture. Curing may take longer under certain conditions, e.g. in dry environments or with certain materials.
During bonding, adhesive vapours can be deposited in the vicinity of the bonded area. This so-called blooming effect can be reduced or prevented by using the adhesive sparingly and ensuring sufficient ambient humidity. Blooming can be removed with acetone, provided that the surface of the parts to be cleaned is acetone-resistant.
