A1 retarder 1000 ml

Curing retarder for two-component acrylic casting resin A1. Can also be used with Plasticrete.

The A1 retarder extends the pot life, i.e. the compound can be processed for longer. At the same time, the demoulding time is also extended!

Application:

Please measure out the correct amount of retarder first. In relation to the total weight of the A1 casting resin compound (component A + component B), the addition of approx. 0.3 % retarder (by weight) leads to an extension of the pot life by approx. 20 minutes.

To achieve optimum distribution, first add the appropriate amount of A1 retarder to the A1 liquid and mix carefully. Only then gradually add the A1 powder.

The manufacturer recommends a maximum addition of 1 % retarder and a maximum pot life of 60 minutes. As this information is only a rule of thumb and the pot life also depends on the A1 powder, we recommend determining the actual processing times in advance using a small test quantity.

To achieve optimum mixing results, we recommend an A1 high shear mixing blade, a stirring rod for a drill or cordless screwdriver, which ensures that as few air bubbles as possible get into the compound during mixing.

Example:

Addition of approx. 0.3 % to 1500 g A1 (A+B) = approx. 5 g
Addition of approx. 0.6 % to 1500 g A1 (A+B) = approx. 10 g
Addition of 1 % to 1500 g A1 (A+B) = approx. 15 g
