Breathable sealer for two-component acrylic casting resin A1. Protects against moisture, dirt & UV exposure. For outdoor objects & damp interiors.
The A1 sealer is solvent-free, water-based, easy to apply and quick-drying. The sealer has good adhesion and offers objects made of A1 acrylic resin good UV resistance, protection against dirt absorption and good protection against moisture.
Attention: A1 sealer is not permanently waterproof! The sealer is a breathable (vapour-open) coating.
APPLICATION:
The surface to be treated with A1 sealer must be free of wax, oil, dirt or dust. Apply A1 sealer with a brush or roller. The sealer can also be sprayed on. Add 20 % water before use. After application, wipe off the A1 sealer with a dry cloth while it is still damp. When spraying on A1 sealer, it is not necessary to polish the A1 sealer. A coat of A1 sealer has a drying time of about 45 minutes, depending on the room temperature and humidity, among other things. The sealer can be applied in one coat up to a maximum of three coats to improve the protective properties. Do not apply A1 sealer below 10° C.
A1 Sealer is a so-called breathable coating and is therefore optimally matched to the properties of A1 Acrylic Resin. On the one hand, A1 acrylic resin still contains a small amount of moisture after an object has been cast, for example, and on the other hand it slowly absorbs a certain amount of moisture in a very humid environment, for example. If the object is placed in a dry environment (or exposed to sudden sunlight, for example), this moisture is released again very quickly. The breathable (vapour-open) A1 sealer allows this without any problems. However, if the A1 sealer is applied too thickly (in too many layers), it loses its breathability, which can damage the A1 acrylic resin object.
CONSUMPTION:
If you apply A1 sealer with a brush, you will need about 1 kg of A1 sealer for 8 - 10 square metres of surface. If you spray on A1 sealer, 1 kg is sufficient for about 10 - 12 square metres.
