Thixotropic agent for easy thickening of the two-component acrylic casting resin A1, e.g. for easier application in the production of gelcoats.
Application:
To thicken the ready-mixed acrylic resin compound (component A + B), add Thix A until the desired consistency is achieved. Do not add more than 2 % (by weight) to the total mass. Adding more Thix A can cancel out the thickening effect.
To achieve an optimum mixing result, we recommend an A1 high shear mixing blade, a stirring rod for a drill or cordless screwdriver, which ensures that as few air bubbles as possible get into the mixture during mixing.
Example:
Addition of approx. 1 % to 1500 g A1 (A+B) = approx. 15 g
Addition of approx. 2 % to 1500 g A1 (A+B) = approx. 30 g
