Filler mainly for epoxy & PUR resins for the production of thermal conductivity. For the cold moulding process.
The aluminum powder is very fine-grained and is particularly suitable as a filler for epoxy and polyurethane resins to produce good thermal conductivity.
For applying the resin in layers: 50 to 100 parts aluminium powder to 100 parts synthetic resin.
To produce objects using cold casting: Cold casting is a simple process for producing objects that are similar in appearance and feel to cast metal objects, without the need for complex 'hot' processes such as bronze casting. For cold casting, metal powder is bound with casting resins (mixing ratio e.g. 1:2). Silicone moulds, for example, can be used as casting moulds; use a release agent if necessary. The finished objects can be sanded and patinated.
The different metal powders can be mixed to achieve certain colour effects.
