The ARBORTECH SpheroPlane carving attachment enables the perfect turning of a semi-circular wooden bowl or a spherical shape without a lathe, simply using an angle grinder: The carving attachment has an adjustable carving radius so that large and small convex and concave shapes can be carved directly from a raw, naturally grown piece of wood. The fine adjustment collar is used to set exactly how much or how little material is removed. Once the shape has been carved, the supplied sanding pad can be attached to the attachment to give the spherical shape the perfect finish.
The SpheroPlane carving attachment can be guided smoothly and precisely in all directions, making it ideal for producing convex and concave moulds. The carving attachment offers outstanding control, balance and safety thanks to its all-round protection. It has reduced kickback due to a controlled blade position. It is easy to switch between carving and sanding. An industrial vacuum cleaner can be connected directly to the attachment for low-dust work.
The SpheroPlane carving attachment is designed for wear resistance and a long service life. This is ensured by precisely machined aluminium and highly developed plastic as well as rotatable and replaceable carbide teeth on the cutting tool.
