Self-curing two-component epoxy modelling compound. 0 % shrinkage. High adhesive strength. Cures within 24 hours.

Apoxie Sculpt is a putty-like material with a fine, smooth texture that is very easy to model and has a very high adhesive strength on a wide variety of materials. The epoxy compound is self-curing with 0% shrinkage, extremely durable and very hard after curing, with a slightly glossy surface. The cured compound is excellent for further processing, sanding, carving, turning, cutting, turning, drilling, etc. without cracking or flaking. Apoxie Sculpt is suitable for indoor and outdoor use as well as for underwater use, e.g. in aquariums. After curing, the epoxy compound is waterproof/waterproof, frost-resistant and non-flammable.

Apoxie Sculpt adheres to many materials, e.g. other epoxy compounds (and to itself), ceramics, metal, wood, stone, glass, plastics, foams, fibreglass, polymers. It is ideal for modelling, bonding, filling, embellishing and repairs.

Apoxie Sculpt is available in different colours that can be easily mixed with each other. Objects made of Apoxie Sculpt can be painted after curing and surface-finished in a variety of ways. Moulding with silicone is possible.

Application:

Always wear gloves (e.g. made of nitrile) when working with Apoxie Sculpt. Use different tools when measuring out component A and component B.

To prepare the modelling material, mix component A and component B in equal parts (50:50 by weight) and knead the mixture of the two components very thoroughly for approx. 2 minutes to achieve a uniform and even consistency and colour. Please note that incomplete mixing can lead to poor results. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes, then it is ready for use.

The packaged components of Apoxie Sculpt have a shelf life of several years. If component A is no longer easy to knead, it can be made pliable again by warming it slightly and then kneading it with component B.

Technical data:

Processing time: approx. 1 - 3 hours

In the first half hour, the compound is very sticky and has the highest adhesive strength.
Within 1 - 2 hours, the compound is very easy to work with.
Within 2 - 3 hours, the compound begins to harden and work requiring greater stability, e.g. a structure or the carving out of details, is possible.
After 24 hours, the compound is completely hardened.

Other colours are available on request. The colour chart can be found under Further information.
