Claw-inserts can also be used in wider claw-insert holders without any problems, e.g. combine two 40 mm claw-inserts in an 80 mm holder.
Claw-inserts and claw-inserts can be easily exchanged with this tool: The inserts can be used on both sides. The inserts are simply inserted into the claw-insert holder and are fixed in place automatically when the stone is struck. If you want to loosen the claw chisel or chisel insert and turn it over, place the chisel on its side on a firm surface and allow it to protrude at the front. With targeted blows to the protruding insert, it will lever itself out of the chisel holder.
We recommend claw-insert holders with interchangeable inserts, e.g. for soft sandstone. As sandstone has an abrasive effect, sculpting tools can wear out more quickly. With the claw-insert holder, you do not have to replace the entire tool, but simply turn over or change the insert.
