The razor strop is specially designed for sharpening and honing paring knives, gouges and spoon knives: One side is covered with leather, the other with replaceable abrasive paper. Both sides have a groove for curved blade shapes. The smooth leather side is used for honing the blades, the side with the sandpaper for sharpening.
