Particularly fine and white beta-hemihydrate plaster for the production of objects, casting moulds and support moulds.
Due to its low expansion during hardening, this plaster offers a combination of high casting accuracy and considerable hardness. Due to its composition, CALCAST 100 is finer and whiter than normal plaster. When hardened, CALCAST 100 is more brittle than CALCAST 200.
In combination with chamotte gravel, CALCAST 100 is very suitable for the production of gypsum-bonded investment materials for bronze casting using the lost wax process.
Due to its good absorption capacity, CALCAST 100 is also suitable for the production of casting moulds for ceramic materials. CALCAST 100 is also very suitable for frames and ornaments.
Processing:
Slowly pour 25 kg of CALCAST 100, if necessary through a sieve, into a suitable container with 18 litres of clean water. Allow to soak for approx. 1 minute, then mix thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes to obtain a uniform, lump-free mixture. Please note that the type and speed of mixing can affect the processing time and other product properties.
