Firstly, a wax model is created with artistic advice. The wax model is then embedded in a sand/plaster mixture in a casting box and melted upside-down in the oven at 700 degrees the next day. On the third day, the mould is filled with bronze at 1300 degrees. Finally, the cast is deburred and patinated.

We recommend the workshop "From moulding technique to casting" for course participants who would like to delve deeper into the subject and also learn about the previous steps of moulding and casting.

Maximum size of the bronze cast: 28 x 12 x 12 cm

The workshop size is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

The workshop is aimed at all those who want to try something new and discover themselves and also at experienced sculptors who are looking for an inspiring framework and want to deepen their knowledge.

We start daily at 9.30 am. Coffee is available from 9am for a relaxed arrival. At 1 pm we have lunch together. The daily workshop ends at 5.00 pm.

On the last day, the workshop ends around 4 pm.

The participation fee includes lunch and drinks. We calculate with 10 Euro per person and day, i.e. for a 3-day workshop it is 30 Euro.

The vegetarian lunch together contributes to the rich and inspiring atmosphere of our workshops. You can let us know in advance if you have any food intolerances. We will endeavour to take these into account.

The price includes the use of all tools provided. Material costs are charged according to consumption. You are welcome to bring your own materials and tools.

Students, pupils and trainees receive a 30% discount on the course fee (limited number of places, please specify in the message field when ordering).

The bronze course takes place in the spacious studio of art-projekt/Sebastian Probst in the Wachsfabrik in Cologne-Sürth. The studio space is characterised by the charm of a former 19th century industrial hall. The studio is surrounded by a small park with a water lily pond and old trees.

The reservation becomes binding with the down payment of 10% of the course fee at the end of the order. The remaining course fee is due 30 days before the start of the workshop at the latest. We will send an invoice in good time. Alternatively, the full amount can be paid directly at the checkout.

If you would like the reduced price for students, pupils and trainees (limited number), please indicate this in the message field at the end of the order process.
