Two-component epoxy system with low density, filled with non-abrasive fillers. Can be kneaded, shaped and modelled. Very easy to work with after curing. Cures at room temperature. Component A.

Please remember to order the epoxy resin PE 640 A (component A) separately!

The epoxy putty can be shaped and modelled and is suitable for restoring sculptures and for building small to large models, moulds and support moulds. Very light material due to its low density. Very easy to work with tools after at least 12 hours of curing, as the inert fillers do not contain any abrasive components.

PROCESSING:

Check the initial masses of resin and hardener and homogenise them if necessary before use. Weigh the two components carefully (resin and hardener) and mix them in the exact mixing ratio until a homogeneous mass is obtained. If possible, avoid creating air bubbles. Then process the compound immediately. A wax-based product is suitable as a release agent to prepare the surface of an object to be moulded (see manufacturer's instructions).

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

Mixing ratio by weight (g): 100:100 (A:B)
Working time at 25°C (500 ml): 20 - 25 minutes
Working time with mixer at 25°C (4 kg): 15 - 20 minutes
Setting time at 25°C (15 ml, 5 mm): 2 - 3 hours
Exothermic peak at 25° C (500 ml): 70° - 80° C
Demoulding time (15 ml, 5 mm, 25° C): 15 - 20 hours
Post-curing at 60° C (optional): 10 - 15 hours
Maximum recommended casting thickness: 30 - 40 mm
The maximum casting thickness depends heavily on the mould material, the dimensions and the room temperature.
