Plaster & cement as a material for sculptures
Plaster and cement are materials that you as a sculptor can use in very different ways: You can use plaster and concrete, which is based on cement, to mould sculptures using plaster casting, concrete casting or stone casting or to build them up using the moulding technique. Plaster is also very suitable for building support moulds, e.g. for silicone casting moulds. You can also colour plaster and cement before casting, for example with pigments . Marble powder can be used as an additive for cement as well as a traditional base for fresco painting.
