300 g/m². Reinforcing fibre for insertion in polyester resin and vinyl ester resin. For reinforcing moulded parts and for laminating.
Glass mat made of chopped glass fibres with powder compound, treated with silane. The glass fibre mat has a uniform basis weight, very good impregnation properties and excellent drapability.
Due to the styrene contained in polyester resin, the bond between the glass fibres is loosened during manual processing when inserting or applying, so that the glass fibre mat can be easily formed into all shapes. As the glass fibre pieces are not aligned, laminating with glass fibre mat is particularly easy. The layers can be stacked on top of each other without having to pay attention to the fibre direction.
Laminates produced with glass fibre mats generally have a lower structural strength than laminates produced with glass filament fabric, and proportionally more resin is required.
Not suitable or only suitable to a limited extent for processing with other synthetic resins such as epoxy resin or acrylic resin.
TECHNICAL DATA:

Classification according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008: The product is not classified as hazardous according to the GHS/CLP directives and does not require labelling.
Although the continuous glass fibres produced cannot be inhaled, they may cause temporary itching of the skin and mucous membranes due to the mechanical abrasive effect of the fibres. Under normal conditions of use, dust and non-respirable fibres (particles not otherwise regulated) may be released from these products. During heavy use (e.g. shredding, crushing), a very small amount of respirable particles may be released from these products, some of which are fibrous in the ratio l/d (so-called "shards").
