30 g/m². Reinforcing fibre for insertion in polyester resin, limited for use with epoxy resin. For reinforcing moulded parts and for laminating.
Fine glass fibre fleece made of chopped glass fibres with chemical bonding and coating. The glass fibre fleece is very soluble in styrene and is therefore particularly suitable for processing with polyester resins. As the structure of the glass fibre fleece is very fine, it is also very suitable for the first and last laminate layer, as hardly any unevenness forms and no coarser grid structure can emerge.
The styrene contained in polyester resin loosens the bond between the glass fibres when they are laid or applied by hand, meaning that the glass fibre fleece can be easily formed into any shape. As the glass fibre pieces are not aligned, laminating with glass fibre fleece is particularly easy. The layers can be stacked on top of each other without having to pay attention to the fibre direction.
Not suitable or only suitable to a limited extent for processing with other synthetic resins. Processing with epoxy resin is possible, but it should be noted that the binder of the fabric does not dissolve in epoxy resin, the glass fibre fleece remains correspondingly stiffer and cannot be formed into all shapes as perfectly as in combination with polyester resin.

Classification according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008: The product is not classified as hazardous according to the GHS/CLP directives and does not require labelling.
Although the continuous glass fibres produced cannot be inhaled, they may cause temporary itching of the skin and mucous membranes due to the mechanical abrasive effect of the fibres. Under normal conditions of use, dust and non-respirable fibres (particles not otherwise regulated) may be released from these products. During heavy use (e.g. shredding, crushing), a very small amount of respirable particles may be released from these products, some of which are fibrous in the ratio l/d (so-called "shards").
