MORE INFO
Air-hardening clay, unshod. Particularly suitable as a crafting clay for children. For objects, figures, sculptures, vessels, bowls etc. Not suitable for utility ceramics. Can be painted, glaze firing is possible. 10 kg pallet.
The new air-hardening clay from G & S is flexible and very easy to work with. Children can playfully gain their first material experience with clay with this very plastic mass. After drying, the clay is hard and cannot be softened again with water. To achieve even greater strength if required, the modelled objects can also be dried in the oven at max. 100° C after they have been left to air dry for a few days. Caution: Do not put the clay objects in the oven while they are still wet - this can lead to cracks!
The clay was specially developed by G & S for all those who do not have access to a kiln. After a clay object has hardened in the air after a few days, it can easily be coloured with watercolours, acrylic paints or felt-tip pens, for example. Please note: Workpieces that have been dried and painted are not suitable for use as tableware, as they are not water-resistant without further treatment.
For advanced users who have access to a ceramic kiln: Glazing the clay with a glaze firing up to 1220° C is possible, e.g. with glazes from BOTZ. You can produce real ceramics with the 751 AirDry craft clay and a suitable glaze.
