The GRÄNSFORS grindstone is usually used with water, but can also be used dry. The sharpening stone made of ceramic abrasives has a coarser side with a grit size of approx. 180 for somewhat coarser grinding work and a finer side with a grit size of approx. 600 for fine grinding. In contrast to natural stone, ceramic grindstones have a more precise grit size. The grain composition of the grindstone offers a long service life.
The flat, round sharpening stone has bevelled edges for a smoother transition. The fine side accounts for around two thirds of the material thickness of the sharpening stone, as this side is normally used the most and is therefore worn down the most. The grindstone is supplied in a protective rubber case.
