GYOKUCHO Ryoba Blue Hard Japanese saw 270:
The GYOKUCHO Ryoba Blue Hard Japanese saw 270 with a traditional wood/rattan handle is a real carpenter's saw for rough carpentry work and saw cuts in construction work. The coarse saw blade with 10 TPI allows fast and tight work. This coarse toothing can also be used to saw knots and wet wood. The even coarser side of the saw blade with 7.5 TPI enables efficient rip cuts.
The teeth of this Japanese saw are hardened to a surface hardness of 68 to 71 HRC and ensure a long service life of the saw blade as a prerequisite for the characteristic high-quality cutting properties of the pull saw.
The GYOKUCHO Ryoba Blue Hard Japanese saw 270 has a narrower blade than the GYOKUCHO Ryoba Seiun Saku Japanese saw 270. The narrower blade makes it easier to work with the Blue Hard Japanese saw.
Japanese pull saw (Nokogiri) of the Ryoba type. Ryoba saws are versatile, as they combine two saws and therefore two sawing functions with their double-sided toothing. The teeth are different in each case, one is primarily suitable for cross-cuts, the other for rip cuts. The Ryoba saw can therefore be used for both cross-cutting and mitre work. The cutting depth is not limited per se, but the length of the saw blade does play a role: longer Ryobas (up to 300 mm) with coarser tooth pitch allow coarser and deeper cuts, while shorter Ryobas with finer tooth pitch are very good for precision work with clean cuts.
