Practical sharpening stone for forged steel and carbide tools.
The diamond coating is mounted on a stone and enables fast sharpening. The carrier stone is made of 2 cm thick limestone. The high weight and rubber feet ensure that the sharpening stone rests securely on the work surface. The dimensions always refer to the diamond surface. The two-sided stone has two surfaces of 70 x 115 mm each.
Double-sided sharpening stone for stone tools: The coarser 200 grit is sufficient for most sharpening work. For a clean edge formation, e.g. when striking lettering, a higher sharpness is required, which is achieved with the finer diamond. When sharpening point chisels, guide them over the diamond with a pulling motion so as not to damage the diamond layer with the point.
Sharpening stone tools: To sharpen chisels (point chisels, claw chisels, flat chisels, sculpting chisels, lettering chisels, etc.), place the tool at as flat an angle as possible and pull it over the diamond surface with only light pressure. The diamond surface will be damaged if too much pressure is applied or if the grinding angle is too steep and the tips of the chisels bore into the diamond surface. A very good grinding effect is also achieved with lower pressure and a shallower grinding angle.
