Aluminium oxide with stearate coating. 50 hook-and-loop sanding discs Ø 50 mm in various grits with FLEXIPADS hook-and-loop backing-pad Ø 50 mm with M14 thread for the angle grinder. For sanding wood.
Small grinding wheels, therefore ideal for sanding hard-to-reach areas in wood in combination with the FLEXIPADS hook-and-loop backing-pad with M14 thread for the angle grinder.
The sanding paper set contains the following grits:
15 x 80
15 x 120
10 x 180
10 x 240
The excellent sandpaper with high-quality aluminium oxide grain is coated with stearate and therefore has a long service life. The stearate coating also reduces dust build-up and clogging of the abrasive. The paper backing is reinforced with fibre fabric and is also very durable for small curves.
Aluminium oxide abrasives have a coarser grain than silicon carbide abrasives and are therefore particularly suitable for sanding wood.
Our tip: Due to the small contact surface, only work with low pressure and reduce the weight of the machine for horizontal surfaces. Work at low speed to avoid increased heat build-up.
Hook-and-loop backing-pads with a Velcro system are extremely practical, as the grinding wheels can be changed quickly and easily. They also have a very good grip. To ensure that the hook-and-loop backing-pad retains its adhesive force for as long as possible, it is important to pay attention to both the speed of the machine and the pressure exerted on the machine when sanding. If the speed is too high and the pressure too great, high temperatures can occur, causing the plastic loops of the hook and loop disc to burn, especially at the edge. As a result, the hook-and-loop sanding discs have less and less grip on the hook-and-loop backing-pad. Depending on the type of stone, excessively high temperatures can also cause grinding damage to the stone or, in the case of woodworking, to the wood.
