Abrasives made of silicon carbide have very sharp edges and are therefore very suitable for sanding even harder marble, limestone and serpentine, as well as hard soapstone and alabaster, hardwood and painted surfaces. The stearate coating ensures that the sandpaper is less likely to become clogged with sanding dust.
