Modelling - a traditional sculpting discipline

In contrast to stone sculpture and wood sculpture, which work with subtractive processes, i.e. by removing material, modelling is an additive process – a form is built up, material is added and can also be removed and added to again and again during the working process. Not only sculptures are modelled, but also models and objects. Classic modelling clays are clay, wax or plasticine.
