27 July - 1 August 2026
with Petra Rosenkranz.

We explore the interplay of colour and layering. In the game, actually in the game of painting, we find beauty in the unplanned - where the unforeseen takes shape.

We move into the CREATING future.
We have no idea of it. We do not know it!
Oh .....now it's getting exciting!
But how do I prepare myself ......for this unknown ....!?
How do I enter this unknown space and what happens there ....

Recognise ourselves again as joyful, active explorers and creators and try, fail, fall, prove our inability and do so very delicately, devotedly, forgetting time, immersed .... and thus create the most beautiful colourful spots.

We will encounter many painting games - joint painting sessions - colour tandems and even self-made painting machines - all of them as inspiration for our own colour kitchen, our own work during this week.rounds with reflections and discussions inspire us and open up new aspects for our own work.

The shared wanderlust in the colour mountains and the longing for new creations will draw us away.

I look forward to welcoming everyone who enjoys the painterly work in progress and wants to discover how the hand catches the colour.

Studied painting and cultural education at Alanus University, before that curative education in South Africa, now with art in North Africa. In between: lots of colouring, mainly walls and furniture in addition to papers. Years of love for building sites: Colour design of public + private places, conceptually as well as with the paint bucket in my hand.
I have grown-up children, am a painter, lecturer, founder of WOGOUD_studio, an art culture place in Cairo, and am very much looking forward to this joint course week!

If you have any questions in advance: petrarosenkranz@icloud.com

Everyone who is up for such an adventure, who wants to explore how ideas manifest themselves, how themes form and wonderful works are warmly invited!
Everyone who is ready to playfully engage in artistic processes and reflect on their own free play is welcome!

We start daily at 9.30 am. Coffee is available from 9am for a relaxed arrival. At 1 pm we have lunch together. The lunch break until 2.30 pm can be used for independent work or other activities. The daily workshop time ends at 5 pm.

On the last day, we conclude the week with a small exhibition of our work. At 12:30 pm we start the tour with a small lunch buffet, during which we look at and discuss the works together. Friends and family members are welcome to view the works and celebrate the end of the week with us. The workshop ends around 2 pm.

The participation fee includes lunch and drinks. We calculate with 10 Euro per person and day, i.e. for a 6-day workshop it is 60 Euro.

The vegetarian lunch together contributes to the rich and inspiring atmosphere of our workshops. You can let us know in advance if you have any food intolerances. We will endeavour to take these into account.

The price includes the use of all tools provided. Material costs are charged according to consumption and are around € . You are welcome to bring your own materials and tools. Just a few minutes away you will find the Max Ernst Museum and Falkenlust Palace, one of Brühl's UNESCO World Heritage castles. In the summer months, the Berggeistweiher pond in the Kottenforst forest invites you to take a refreshing break.

The address is: bildhau KG, Am Rankewerk 2, 50321 Brühl
There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the building. The location is barrier-free.
