Plastic reinforcement bar with triangular cross-section for modelling clay. Suitable for wax models for bronze casting.
Plastic rods in various thicknesses for reinforcing sculptures made of clay, plaster, wax and other modelling materials. The rods can be bent in all directions and retain their shape. They can be attached to each other with masking tape.
If you are working with a lost mould when casting bronze, you can use the plastic rods as reinforcement for wax models for the lost wax process. When the wax burns out, the rod burns completely. There are no marks on the bronze surface, as is the case when using iron rods, for example.
If the plastic rods are used to reinforce clay, all rods must be completely removed before firing, otherwise damage will occur!
