Two-component gelcoat for waterproof coating, impact-resistant. 1 kg. Component A + polyester curing agent MEK-peroxide (component B).
Unsaturated polyester resin. Can be coloured particularly well with pigment paste. High-quality resin with very good mechanical properties: very hard, impact resistant, water and chemical resistant. Easy to process.
APPLICATION:
Process polyester gelcoat at room temperatures between 15° and 30° C and a humidity of <80 %. First add pigment paste to obtain the final colour. Mix the polyester gelcoat (component A) and pigment paste well (depending on the amount of mass, e.g. with a stirring attachment on the drill at moderate speed). Leave to rest for about 20 minutes, then add 1.5 to 2 % polyester curing agent MEK-peroxide (component B) and mix well. Apply first coat. Pot life approx. 20 - 30 minutes.
Further coats can be applied for laminating: After the polyester gelcoat has set in each case, each additional coat can be applied after approx. 60 minutes (at 20° C room temperature). For perfect adhesion, however, it is better to apply the next layer after 3 to 8 hours.
TECHNICAL DATA:
Pot life (200 g at 25° C): 20 - 30 minutes
Exothermic peak: 130° C
Demoulding time: 60 minutes
Colourless, clear
