Double ball-bearing spindle made of ground steel, can be locked for tool changes at the touch of a button. Main housing made of glass fibre reinforced POLYAMIDE. 6 MICROMOT steel collets.

Note:

MICROMOT steel collets are hardened and therefore have a high, consistent spring force. They retain the required accuracy even after long use (not comparable with unhardened, 4-slotted collets and those made of brass or aluminium). Triple-slotting, which is much more difficult to manufacture than 4-slotting, provides a better bed. This is important for centric gripping of small diameter shanks.
