Note:

MICROMOT steel collets are hardened and therefore have a high, durable spring force.
They retain the required accuracy even after long use (not comparable with unhardened, four-slotted collets and those made of brass or aluminium).
Triple-slotting, which is much more difficult to manufacture than quadruple-slotting, provides a better bed.
This is important for the centric gripping of small diameter shanks.
