MORE INFO
Two-component PU foam. Resin (component A, X kg) + hardener (component B, X/2 kg). Flexible curing.
Image similar.
For scenographic work and prototypes. Also for filling (flexible) moulds. The soft PU foam is mainly used in the furniture and automotive industries.
APPLICATION
The PU foam reacts differently depending on the temperature of the chemical components (A+B) and the mould. Please ensure that the temperature is set correctly before each use in order to achieve the desired reactivity and viscosity. We recommend carrying out a test before the actual casting. Stir components well before use. Only work with dry tools and containers.
Depending on the desired foam hardness, mix component A (resin) and component B (hardener) in a weight ratio of 100:50 (g) to 100:100 (g) by hand or with a machine to form a homogeneous mass. Pour immediately into a dry mould that has previously been treated with a release agent. Cure at room temperature. To improve the surface, the foam can be poured into a heated mould.
At a mixing ratio of 100:50, the PU compound expands by a factor of 15 to 20 during foaming, depending on the temperature of the starting materials and the temperature of the mould; at a mixing ratio of 100:100, the expansion is slightly less.
