The summer sculpture course takes place every year for 14 days in June/July on the beautiful grounds of the Airbnb Finca Can Bernadas in Alella near Barcelona.
The open-air studio of artist couple Klaus Christ and Jeanette Adamczik is located on a small lake with a view of the blue Mediterranean. Here you will create your own individual sculpture under professional guidance. During the breaks, you can relax and unwind or find inspiration by exploring the large grounds lined with woodland, natural pools, a small quarry and sculpture trails.
How we work:
In process-based design, i.e. primarily through a dialogue with the material (stone/wood/clay) that is free of imagination and open to the future, you will learn to develop your creative imagination and trust your creativity. I n the interplay of form and material, new areas of experience and development open up, strengthening your life forces and training your conscious perception of sculptural vitality.
The work is done exclusively by hand, i.e. without machines. In addition to practical work, there will be explanations of the theory of form and art-historical considerations based on artists' biographies. The course is suitable for beginners and advanced students alike.
