SHARK SAW Japanese folding saw Kataba 210:
The practical folding saw, which fits in your back pocket due to its size and can always be carried with you, is suitable for all general sawing work. As a real carpenter's saw with a length of 210 mm, the Kataba folding saw has a very wide range of applications and is particularly suitable for fast cross-cuts (cuts across the wood fibre). Precise saw cuts can be realised effortlessly, even with thicker material and deeper cuts. The saw blade can be used in two positions. This means that this saw can also be used by roofers for sawing roof battens and roof timber.
The teeth of the Kataba folding saw from SHARK SAW are induction-hardened to 68-71 HRC and guarantee a long service life. The ergonomically shaped "Softgrip" handle ensures that the pull saw sits comfortably in the hand.
Japanese pull saw (Nokogiri) of the Kataba type. Kataba saws have a long, single-toothed blade with a short, unreinforced blade back. A Kataba is particularly suitable for long, deep and very precise cuts without jamming, which cannot be made with other Japanese saws such as Dozuki and Ryoba. To prevent the blade from twisting so much during sawing, the blade thickness of a Kataba is generally greater than that of a comparable Dozuki.
