Silicone cross-linker for silicone RTV-6007 semi-transparent
.
.
Two-component silicone with polycondensation cross-linking. Flexible, translucent, elastic silicone with excellent mechanical properties. Cross-linking at room temperature. Component B.
Please remember to order the silicone RTV-6700 translucent (component A) separately!
Silicone RTV-6007 is particularly suitable for detailed moulding of figures, sculptures, sculptures, objects and other objects made of stone, wood, plaster, metal, ceramic, wax etc.. The silicone has good mechanical properties, high resistance to chemical influences and good stability. Suitable for the production of casting moulds for casts with polyester resin, polyurethane, stone casting, alabaster, plaster etc.
Silicone RTV-6007 is particularly practical for all applications in which a high-quality, translucent mould is required. With thixotropic agent RTV-3011, the silicone becomes puttyable and can also be used for the production of vertical moulds.
APPLICATION:
Carefully weigh silicone RTV-6007 (component A) with silicone curing agent (component B) in a weight ratio of 100:5, preferably using a digital scale. Stir the silicone compound well before use. Use a clean, dry container for this. Then mix the silicone and curing agent thoroughly by hand or by machine. Avoid getting air into the mixture.
In order to obtain moulds that are free of air bubbles, it is recommended to deaerate the mixture. To do this, use a vacuum bell jar with a vacuum of 30 to 50 mm/Hg for several minutes.
Then pour carefully to prevent air bubbles from forming again.
Preferably process at a room temperature of 23° C and a humidity of 50 %. The higher the room temperature and humidity, the shorter the working time and the faster the curing.
If necessary, clean the object to be moulded first. If necessary, e.g. with open-pored materials, pre-treat with a suitable release or barrier agent by dipping, spraying or applying with a brush with Vaseline. Allow the release agent or barrier agent to air dry for at least 30 minutes at 25° C after application. Then coat the object slowly and evenly with silicone RTV-6007, avoiding air bubbles as far as possible.
