Our bildhau stones are natural stones in individual shapes & sizes, the dimensions & weights of which we cannot specify exactly in advance. You can choose your stone from different weight categories, in which the maximum price for a stone of the respective category is indicated. The stone supplied will be individually weighed and charged at the price per kilo stated here. The price charged will be lower than the maximum price of the respective category.
It is important to us that you receive exactly the material you need for your project. If you are looking for a stone with more specific dimensions (e.g. elongated, approx. 30 cm), please let us know in the message field at the end of the order process. We will endeavour to find a suitable stone for you. On request, we will send you a photo in advance for inspection. We charge a service fee of 9.50 euros for this service, which will be shown on the invoice.
Larger stones and cut-to-size pieces are usually also available for many types of stone. Please contact us by e-mail or telephone for a binding quotation.

The soapstone assortment consists of:
15 kg or 25 kg of smaller soapstones (0.5 - 4 kg).
Mohs hardness 1, very easy to work with rasps. Do not use chisels.

PROCESSING
The soapstone sorting consists of a number of smaller soapstones (0.5 - 4kg). These soapstone stones can be worked very well with forged steel rasps and files. Soapstone can also be shaped with (wooden) carving irons. Please note that you cannot use soapstone carving tools for woodworking afterwards.
Sculptures made of soapstone are suitable for indoor use.
Stone is a natural product. We endeavour to reproduce the appearance of our sculpture stones as accurately as possible in the illustrations so that the character of the stone can be recognised. Ultimately, each stone is unique and the appearance may differ from the illustration.
