Sculpting course: intuitive and process-orientated STONE CARVING "carve with love"
Stone sculpting workshop in Obergurgl in Ötztal:
"The mountain is calling" for stone carving and hiking, as well as too many encounters with "man and nature". Close to the sky at an altitude of 2000 metres between snow-covered mountains and rushing waterfalls, we carve limestone, marble and granite. Soapstone and alabaster are available for children.
You will find time and peace for yourself in the seclusion of the mountains. The soothing and relaxing rhythm of the hammering gives you a feeling of timelessness, and the rhythmic ringing of the iron and mason's hammer becomes meditative music...
The encounter with the diverse nature of the mountains inspires you.
Individual work from beginners to advanced.

Stone carving is the ideal introduction to sculptural work. The stone offers you resistance and resists quick solutions. Follow your inner voice in dialogue with the stone - find your own rhythm in harmony with the shape of the stone - discover your own creative potential when carving in sandstone and limestone, marble, granite and more - destructive and liberating at the same time - lose yourself - find yourself. The soothing and relaxing rhythm of the hammering conveys a sense of timelessness, and the rhythmic ringing of the iron and mason's hammer becomes meditative music. With every stroke you learn and come closer to your goal of striking yourself free. You free your inner image from your stone. Gradually, you will be able to look more and more into the stone, to strike more freely and purposefully, to strike freely! You find your own rhythm! Strike yourself free! Stone is alive!
