The stone carving courses are aimed both at participants who have not yet worked in natural stone and at those who already have previous knowledge and experience. Work is done by hand; this working method offers a gentle introduction to stone carving, allowing everyone to discover and develop their own passion and sensitivity for stone carving. There is no rigid programme or thematic guidelines; instead, after clarifying their ideas and according to their ability, each participant is guided individually and step by step through the design, model and execution of their ideas in stone. Individual discussions, corrections and group discussions accompany the individual work steps. In a small group, the participants learn not only about materials and tools, but above all the basic rules of artistic stone working.

In order to meet the different time and content requirements and possibilities of the participants as closely as possible, there will be different course formats. The ongoing courses, which take place once a week in the evening, are a good opportunity to familiarise yourself with the basic elements of stone sculpture. For those who prefer to work continuously, the compact weekend workshops or the 6-day course during the summer holidays are certainly suitable.

But those who would like to have a taster are of course also very welcome.

The courses take place in the special atmosphere of my studio in Neuss.

All the necessary tools and equipment are provided.

Sandstone and marble can be purchased on site.

If you already have your own material or tools, you are of course welcome to bring them with you.
