This large Gisuké beam saw of the Kataba type has a long saw blade of 330 mm. The teeth have a very coarse, ascending tooth pitch of 5 to 9 TPI (teeth per inch). The saw is therefore ideal for rough sawing work in the workshop, for example for sawing thick beams. The saw can also be used for sawing branches. In this case, it is important to clean the saw thoroughly after use and remove any resin residue, for example. BALLISTOL oil or resin remover, camellia oil or Yanipika spray are suitable for this.

The (trapezoidal) teeth of the saw are coarse and ground on three sides. They enable the saw to cut aggressively through the wood and also deliver a smooth result.
