Replacement blade for TAKAGI Kataba japanese saw 265 medium-fine and TAKAGI Kataba japanese saw 265 foldable medium-fine. Blade thickness 0.6 mm. Blade length 265 mm. Picture similar.
TAKAGI Kataba japanese saw 265 medium-fine / foldable medium-fine:
Traditional (foldable) Kataba fine saw with 265 mm saw blade and medium-fine teeth of 15 TPI (teeth per inch). Very suitable for cutting and mitre work and for general sawing work.
This fine Kataba shows its qualities as a general carpenter's saw and as a fine saw. It is ideal for cutting and mitre work, making it particularly suitable for furniture making and fine woodwork. The Kataba produces very smooth and clean sawing results.
The hardened saw blade has induction-hardened and polished teeth ground on three sides from 68 to 71 HRC for a very long service life.
Japanese pull saw (Nokogiri) of the Kataba type. Kataba saws have a long, single-toothed blade with a short, unreinforced blade back. A Kataba is particularly suitable for long, deep and very precise cuts without jamming, and therefore for all work that cannot be carried out with other Japanese saws such as Dozuki and Ryoba. To prevent the blade from twisting so much during sawing, the blade thickness of a Kataba is generally greater than that of a comparable Dozuki.
