Monster Clay is a modelling clay that is often used in the creative industry. Due to its properties, the modelling clay is very suitable for the smallest details and fine surface and skin structures. The clay can be used again and again without any loss of quality (no polymerisation, no oxidation). For example, prototypes and models can be produced that can be moulded as often as required, e.g. with silicone, PUR rubber or alginate. The modelling clay has a lower density than other comparable modelling clays, resulting in approx. 25 % more material volume for the same weight. Monster Clay grey is available in three degrees of hardness.

The soft quality is easy to work with even at room temperature. It is particularly suitable for basic moulds and substructures. The harder qualities are particularly suitable for working out the finest details. The different Monster Clay qualities can be mixed together as desired. The modelling clay has a high degree of elasticity so that even unusual shapes can be modelled.

Due to its texture, Monster Clay hardly sticks to hands and tools.

PROCESSING:

Monster Clay has a particularly fine texture and is very easy to model, especially if the clay is first heated. The soft quality is easy to mould even at room temperature. Warm the medium-hard and hard grades before moulding.

Monster Clay has a very low melting point, so that it can also be moulded, e.g. for making casts as intermediate models. Monster Clay can be poured into silicone, alginate and polyurethane moulds without the use of a release agent. After cooling, the modelling clay quickly regains its original hardness at room temperature and the cast object can then be worked on and modified immediately.

Monster Clay is supplied in heat-resistant packaging so that the modelling clay can be heated directly in the original packaging in the oven, preferably in a water bath. Please follow the safety instructions.

Melting in the microwave: An unopened pack of Monster Clay can be heated in a high-temperature microwave for a maximum of 3 minutes. Smaller quantities melt more quickly, so never heat for longer than 15 seconds!

The surface of the material can be perfectly smoothed with 99% alcohol, a citric acid solution, turpentine substitute or white spirit.

The modelling clay is sulphur-free and compatible with many impression materials. It can be moulded with polycondensation and polyaddition-curing silicone, for example.
