The TORMEK LA-220 leather honing wheel gently removes burrs created during sharpening. At the same time, the cutting edge bevel is polished for the best possible sharpness. If the bevel does not yet need to be completely resharpened, it can be repeatedly treated with the LA-220 to refresh the sharpness . In this way, the cutting edge is optimally maintained and lasts longer.
The leather honing wheel is always used with honing compound, e.g. TORMEK PA-70 honing compound. A new leather honing wheel should first be impregnated with light machine oil before the honing paste is applied for the first time. This will ensure the best long-term performance.
The TORMEK LA-220 leather honing wheel is made from vegetable-tanned quality leather from the traditional and renowned tannery Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden. The tannery tans exclusively with natural vegetable products.
