Device for rotating the sanding machine through 180° for more ergonomic sharpening. Suitable for TORMEK T-8, T-7, T-4, T-3, 2000, 1200, SA-250, N-1500.
With the RB-180 rotating base, the machine can be swivelled with a simple handle on the base plate and is held firmly in any position by the locking mechanism. This makes it possible to switch effortlessly between sharpening and honing with the stone and against the stone within a very short time, without having to lift the machine.
Changing the sharpening direction is important: Some tools are best sharpened when the stone is turning away from the cutting edge, others when the stone is turning towards the cutting edge. The direction of rotation also plays a role when honing: For honing, the honing wheel must turn away from the cutting edge (trailing edge) so that the tool cannot cut into the honing wheel.
