The most commonly used device for sharpening gouges up to 38 mm wide. Also specially designed for sharpening short carving tools, short butt chisels, smaller straight gouges and v-parting tools, tools for electric carving machines. For tools with a minimum length of 45 mm at a cutting edge angle of 20° and a maximum tool width of 38 mm. Suitable for TORMEK T-8, T-4 and older models.
The SVS-38 short tool jig has two parallel flanges that act as guides on either side of the universal support. This patented design makes the jig extremely stable. The tool to be sharpened always remains at a right angle to the grinding wheel, even when it is rotated.
The SVS-38 short tool jig can even be used to sharpen damaged slotted screwdrivers and chisels.
