With the T-8 Custom, you can put together your own TORMEK grinding system customised to your individual needs! The T-8 Custom provides the basis for the configuration: The system is completed with the optional selection of the optimum grinding wheel (e.g. one of the particularly robust diamond grinding discs, the SB-250 blackstone silicon for quick shaping or the versatile SG-250 original grinding wheel) and a suitable honing wheel (e.g. the CW-220 composite honing wheel with integrated polishing agent or the classic LA-220 leather honing wheel, which is used with honing compound). And of course, the T-8 Custom can be combined with all fixtures and accessories and perfectly customised for your own requirements.
The TORMEK T-8 allows full control and maximum accuracy when sharpening tools: The basis for this is the universal support, whose patented precision sleeves are integrated into the solid cast housing. This means that there is no shifting or slipping, every tool can be sharpened with maximum precision using the various sharpening devices and accessories of the TORMEK sharpening system and this can be reproduced exactly. The water cooling system ensures that the tool steel does not overheat during grinding.
TORMEK's unique drive system with RKX18 rubber is efficient and maintains a constant speed even under high loads. The maintenance-free and smooth-running industrial motor is designed for continuous operation(25,000 operating hours). The machine has many well thought-out details, such as the EzyLock quick-release fastener on the stainless steel main shaft, which allows the grindstone to be changed easily, quickly and without tools, a water tank with lifting arrangement and a removable magnetic scraper, which attracts the metal particles during sharpening and makes cleaning the water tank easier.
