A clean grind for a clean cut

With the attachments for milling and rasping for the angle grinder e.g. from ARBORTECH or SABURRTOOTH, wood can be quickly and easily removed and shaped. But also routing machines and electric carving machines make the work easier and create new design possibilities.

With the chain saw, you can not only cut wood, but also carve up to filigree elements excellently. Carving saws, which are smaller and lighter than normal chainsaws, are a particular pleasure. With the appropriate equipment, you can also convert normal chainsaws for chainsaw carving.

The surface of a sculpture, along with the form and materiality itself, is crucial to its expression. Sandpapers for hand and machine sanding in many grits, differently shaped sanding files as well as  sanding discs and blocks, waxes and oils are available for an optimal surface design.

Good carving wood as a prerequisite for woodcarving

Many hardwoods as well as softwoods are suitable for carving, e.g. maple, oak, elm, poplar, birch, olive, larch or yew. You decide whether you are looking for a hard or a soft wood, for a large or small workpiece, for indoors or outdoors. Of course, the grain of the wood is also very important, as it can be very different.

Lime wood is particularly good for carving. bildhau therefore has unglued and virtually crack-free carving wood from the linden tree on offer.
