.Many materials for moulding and casting are two-component systems where the proportions must be measured precisely by weight or volume. In addition to, for example, a household scale, measuring cups of different sizes are helpful for this. Many materials also need to be mixed well - for small quantities a simple wooden spatula is sufficient, for larger quantities a stirring attachment for the drill is helpful. If you want to stir with very few bubbles, it makes sense to use a high-shear mixer, which is also available for the drill. When working with materials that can attack the skin, (nitrile) gloves should be worn.
