Remover leather, strop & polishing paste

To achieve the optimum sharpness of the carving tools, the ground edges can still be finished with a stripping leather, e.g. a strop, in combination with polishing paste or stripping paste. This very last polish removes any remaining very fine burrs.

The polishing paste ensures that a very fine grinding effect is created with the smallest abrasive particles, while the leather adapts very well to the shape of the blade. A  extra-fine Arkansas honing stone has a similar effectiveness.
