Fillers for synthetic resins, silicone, plaster & cement, colours

You can use fillers to thicken synthetic resins so that you can apply them with a spatula or work vertically with the masses. You can use fillers to make silicone moulds more stable so that they are less sensitive to pressure, but also less flexible. Or you can make your objects and moulds made of plaster, cement or synthetic resins lighter. Pigments are also fillers, but you will find them in a separate section.

If you mix metal powder with synthetic resins as a filler, you can produce objects and sculptures that look very similar to real cast metal, but are very easy to produce without having to handle molten metals. Cold-cast objects can even be sanded and patinated.
