Extremely low-viscosity cyanoacrylate-based super glue. Very fast curing.

The 2construct cyanoacrylate adhesive Special 483 is a perfect all-round super glue for most materials and applications where no extreme additional requirements are made. Special 483 super glue can be used to bond materials such as stone, wood, glass, metal, elastomers and many plastics.

Thanks to capillary action, the extremely low-viscosity Special 483-NV adhesive penetrates deep into cracks and between the parts to be bonded. This means that even very smooth materials can be bonded with the thinnest adhesive film.

The instant adhesive can also be used to seal surfaces (turned pins and 3D printing). Cracked and rotten areas of wood can be hardened for woodturning work.

APPLICATION

The parts to be bonded must be clean and free of grease and oil. Apply the adhesive to one side of the parts to be bonded, then align the parts without applying pressure and press them together. Special 483-NV can also be applied directly to the bonding gap, but the parts to be bonded can then no longer be subsequently aligned. The adhesive hardens within seconds, reaching maximum strength after 24 hours. Do not use at ambient temperatures below 5° C.

Cyanoacrylate adhesives cure even in the slightest amount of moisture. As a rule, the surface moisture of the parts to be bonded or the moisture contained in the materials to be bonded is sufficient for this. However, the curing time can be significantly longer with very dry materials or a very dry environment, an adhesive film that is too thick or, for example, acidic woods such as birch or oak.

Polar plastics such as PP, PE, PTFE and silicone must be pre-treated with a primer before they can be bonded with Special 483.
