MORE INFO
Fine, white beta-hemihydrate plaster with alpha properties for building up and casting as well as for mould making. Fast hardening. High strength.
Due to the special fineness of the product, CALCAST 200 achieves particularly high strengths. At the same time, CALCAST 200 has a higher ductility and lower absorbency (absorption) than other types of gypsum, making CALCAST 200 also very suitable for press-in moulds for ceramic materials. For moulding objects, but also frames and ornaments that require greater strength. Not weather-resistant (sealing required).
Objects made of CALCAST 200 can be processed very well, e.g. sawing and sanding.
Processing:
Slowly pour 25 kg of CALCAST 200, if necessary through a sieve, into a suitable container with 15 - 15.5 litres of clean water. Allow to soak in for approx. 1 minute, then mix thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes to obtain a uniform, lump-free mixture. Please note that the type and speed of mixing can influence the processing time and other product properties.
Technical data:
Processing time: approx. 13 minutes
Start of the setting process: after approx. 13 minutes
End of the setting process: after approx. 23 minutes
Processing temperature: from approx. + 5° C to + 25° C (substrate & ambient temperature)
Mixing time: approx. 5 minutes
Mixing ratio: 15 - 15.5 litres of water to 25 kg of CALCAST 200
Yield: 25 kg of CALCAST 200 with 15 - 15.5 l of water produces approx. 25 l of plaster mortar
Flexural strength: 28 days > 6 MPa
Compressive strength: 28 days > 16 MPa
CALCAST 200 molding plaster is not harmful under normal use and does not contain any environmentally harmful substances.
