Natural wood wax

Exquisite silky lustre for wooden surfaces indoors and for wooden toys. For long-lasting protection and care. For use alone or in combination with CREARTEC natural wood oil.

A waxed wood surface has a very special feel that many people love. CREARTEC natural wood wax can be applied directly to the wood surface or as a final coat after pre-treatment with CREARTEC natural wood oil. The optimised combination of oil and wax penetrates deep into the wood and seals it with a resistant layer of hard wax that repels water and dirt. After polishing, the wood surface has an elegant silky lustre. Like CREARTEC natural wood oil, CREARTEC natural wood wax is approved for the treatment of wooden toys in accordance with EN 71-3.

Please note: Waxed surfaces are sensitive to heat, as the wax can melt quickly. They are therefore not suitable for placing hot objects such as pots, cups or plates on. Oiled surfaces are more suitable for everyday objects and kitchen tables or worktops, for example, as they are easy to maintain and repair. Even if the surfaces come into frequent contact with water, unsightly marks can form if, for example, the wax layer is damaged and moisture can penetrate underneath.

APPLICATION

For the initial treatment, sand the wood surface with 240 grit and carefully remove the sanding dust. If you are working exclusively with natural wood wax, apply the first coat of natural wood wax generously and re-wet highly absorbent areas. After about 30 minutes, completely remove any excess natural wood wax with a lint-free cloth so that no more shiny areas are visible. Allow the wooden object to dry for at least 24 hours. Do not polish the surface after the first application! Repeat the procedure with natural wood wax for the second application. Once the wax surface is completely dry, polish it with a lint-free cloth using strong pressure until a silky sheen is achieved. Always work in the direction of the grain.

Alternatively, the first and, if necessary, second coat can be applied with CREARTEC Natural Wood Oil (for application, see CREARTEC Natural Wood Oil). As the last coat, apply a generous layer of CREARTEC Natural Wood Wax to the surface pre-treated with Natural Wood Oil and polish as described above.

CAUTION: The oil-containing cloths can easily catch fire, so do not leave them unattended. Dispose of in an airtight container.
