For all black stones. Ideal for polishing anthracite-coloured and black marble, hard limestone and granite.
KAPRA polishing powder black (iron oxide black, C.I. Pigment black 11 Fe3O4) can be used for polishing by hand and for polishing with a machine, e.g. with a felt disc.
APPLICATION
We recommend the following procedure for polishing by hand with polishing powder:
1. Pour the polishing powder onto a deep plate.
2. Moisten a jute cloth slightly (!) and dab it into the polishing powder.
3. Spread the polishing powder on the stone using a dabbing motion.
4. Allow the applied polishing powder to act briefly so that the chemical can react with the stone.
5. Rub the polishing powder vigorously (!) into the stone using the jute cloth. This can and should result in squeaking noises!
6. Dab the jute cloth into the polishing powder again and again and continue rubbing.
7. Finally, wash the polished stone thoroughly (!).
To polish with the machine, first slurry the polishing powder with a little water to form a paste.
Wear nitrile gloves when polishing!
