PROCESSING
The gold-coloured limestone from Pakistan is very easy to work by hand with forged steel tools such as point chisels, claw chisels, flat chisels and lettering chisels. Its fine-grained and very homogeneous structure allows for very fine and detailed work. The stone can be worked in a similar way to soft marble. The limestone is very easy to polish and produces a fine lustre.
The limestone from Pakistan can be placed outdoors, but a high-gloss polish will become matt over time as the limestone is not acid-resistant.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The golden yellow limestone from Pakistan is quarried in the Indus Valley.
Stone is a natural product. We endeavour to reproduce the appearance of our sculpture stones as accurately as possible in the images so that the character of the stone can be recognised. Ultimately, each stone is a unique piece and the appearance may differ accordingly from the illustration.
