PROCESSING
The gold-coloured limestone from Pakistan can be worked very well by hand with forging tools such as point chisels, claw chisels, flat chisels and lettering chisels. Due to its fine-grained and very homogeneous structure, it can be worked very finely and in great detail. The stone can be worked in a similar way to soft marble. The limestone is very easy to polish and produces a fine lustre.
Limestone from Pakistan can be placed outdoors, but a high-gloss polish will become matt over time as the limestone is not acid-resistant.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The golden yellow limestone from Pakistan is quarried in the Indus Valley.
